THE BOARD OF

Governors

The British School (TBS) is legally maintained by the Associação Britânica de Educação (ABE) which is the current body of parents of British and Commonwealth nationalities.

The Board of Governors is composed of elected parents from the ABE, along with co-opted members and ex-officio representatives of the British community. The role of the Board is to protect and ensure the continued future of TBS, to be the custodian of the school’s ethos and philosophy, and to develop long term strategic planning. Executive authority within the school is delegated to the Director.
